Exploring Connections and Collaborations in Gender Teaching and Research

GENCAS (Swansea University, Wales, UK) and IGIUMA (University of Málaga, Spain): exploring connections and collaborations in gender teaching and research.

As we seek to move forward after the disruption and pain of Covid, scholars across the world are exploring new avenues of inspiration, connection and innovation.

This zoom meeting brings together scholars working on and around the area of gender from the University of Málaga and Swansea University to share their research interests with an eye on developing creating new research connections and collaborations.

Interested scholars are invited to join the conversation via Zoom on Wednesday 26 October 2022 (2-3.30pm for Swansea colleagues). The friendly, informal meeting will be structured to allow colleagues to briefly explain their research interests – and how these were affected by Covid, to develop a common thread of conversation – before opening up for discussion and questions. It is hoped that the meeting will be the start of new intellectual and research connections between gender scholars at the two universities.

Please email GENCAS’s director, Dr Sarah Crook (History) s.r.e.crook@swansea.ac.uk if you are interested in taking part. Colleagues from any discipline are welcome, as are PhD students.
